When to consult a speech and language therapist for our children?
Kids may need language therapies for different reasons. It is when we cope with those specific disorders associated with language and speech, such as:
- Language articulation Alterations
- Fluency in speaking
- Early ages of language acquisition Difficulties
When dealing with speech or language difficulties other aspects of our life are compromised. Language is present at every time: when thinking, at peers’ interactions or learning at school. For this reason, our attention is directed at children, adolescents, and adults, with preventive criteria and principles of early intervention, integrating the many shades that emerge from language.
How we work
From the first session and trough diagnostic evaluations, we identify the speech, language and communication parts that need to be taken care of. We propose a personalized therapeutic program focused on overcoming and improving difficulties.
Children and teenagers
“No labels” is our main philosophy With an evolutionary and clinical symptomatic criterion, we propose a diagnostic and develop programs dynamically, with periodic adjustments.
Adults
We work in the prevention, diagnosis, habilitation, and rehabilitation of neurological disorders associated with language and hearing that may affect communication and integration of adults. Through a suitable environment, the therapeutic programs are adapted to the needs of the consulting person and their interests.
Please bear in mind
The family and people that are significant to the client are a fundamental pillar for all speech and communication therapy. When working with kids, parents are very important as they can help determine the success of the program. In the process of overcoming a language disorder, it is important that all family members are patient and get involved in the situation as to become participants in the development of an effective communication.
