SIGMÓN is a psychopedagogical and psychotherapeutic space that offers specialized services in clinical psychopedagogy, speech therapy, child and adolescent psychotherapy and adult psychotherapy.
As professionals, we provide a warm and human approach that has allowed us to ensure the well-being of children, adolescents, and families, with respect for differences and the child’s pace as our common ground, always avoiding labels and unnecessary medication. We also come together in spaces for reflection, training, and joint growth, giving rise to dialogue and the exchange of perspectives that provide us with feedback and enable us to renew our work and learn continuously.
We have established ourselves over the years through our consistent and responsible contribution to the community of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat and surrounding areas. We focus on finding a balance between learning and emotions, culture and adaptation, identity and customs, shaping and giving meaning to the words and actions of all those who visit us.

Child Psychotherapy
We open a children’s listening space where we identify conflicts at the school, social and emotional level, determine what the difficulties are but also the potentialities, and finally carry out the psycho-pedagogical or psychotherapeutic interventions that are necessary.
Early Childhood Care
At Sigmón, we are acutely aware of the immeasurable value of these early years for the development of every human being’s future personality, as it is during this time that the most intense socialization process takes place, along with physical and cognitive development. Giving meaning to children’s daily lives, fostering their development as individuals, and promoting their free expression and the construction of new knowledge are the starting points of our work and mission in early childhood development.
Adolescent Psychotherapy
Our focus is on listening to the adolescent about what they want to say about themselves and their environment. This allows us to understand their emotions and thoughts, supporting them in reflecting on and analyzing their attitudes and their unique way of seeing the world and those around them.
Clinical and Therapeutic Educational Psychology
We address temporary challenges related to family, social, cultural, and educational history that require specialized school support. We provide comprehensive support for various academic difficulties, including learning problems, school adjustment issues, academic failure, hyperactivity, bullying, and cultural and language adaptation challenges. We also provide support for permanent challenges related to intellectual, physical, or sensory disabilities.
Logopedia
From the initial consultation, a diagnostic evaluation defines the various aspects of speech, language, and communication that require attention, their characteristics, prognosis, and our proposed treatment plan. This personalized therapeutic program is designed to help individuals overcome and improve their difficulties. “No labels” is our core philosophy. Using a clinical, symptom-based approach, we evaluate patients to arrive at indicative diagnoses and develop dynamic programs with regular adjustments.
Attention to Talent and High Abilities
Our focus is on identifying, guiding, and successfully supporting individuals with talents, high abilities, or giftedness, especially in the emotional sphere, opening new avenues of motivation and recognition of the emotions that unfold in social and family interaction. The goal is to find new and enjoyable ways to make talent flow and enable paths to well-being in everything where interest is present.

Attention to Families
We work together with families to understand and address emotional and crisis issues as a whole family. These therapy sessions focus on understanding the thoughts, feelings, and behavior of each family member, with the goal of leveraging and strengthening family resources and guiding family members to work collaboratively to find solutions to their problems.
- Emotional support for parents
- Support for victims of psychological and/or physical violence.
- Support for newcomers.
Psychotherapy for Adults
The goal of psychotherapy at Sigmón is to create a safe and trusting space where, by listening to the adult’s discourse, words, and dreams, the therapist can understand the intricacies of their world—their fears, worries, desires, fantasies, abilities, and coping mechanisms. It’s about embarking on a journey together, where the psychotherapist provides resources for dealing with distress, becoming a guide so the patient can discover, organize, give meaning to, analyze, and process the situations or aspects that prevent them from enjoying their full potential and well-being.
Therapeutic Support
Therapeutic support is a process of containment and sustenance. We collaborate with families, accompanying one of their members through anxiety, distress, or fears, enabling the individual to feel safe and supported by the bond and the assistance we offer. This service is aimed at both individuals who do not respond to traditional treatment and those who remain at home, avoiding hospitalization. We provide support for various conditions such as psychosis, severe neurotic crises, intellectual disability, dementia, anorexia, bulimia, addictions, and more.
We work in the place where the patient is located, accompanying the person in their daily life; a therapeutic space is opened that constitutes a receptive, warm and reliable presence.
Evaluation tests
We apply different assessment tests requested by educational and/or governmental institutions necessary to deploy all the necessary educational and health resources for the benefit of the child, always keeping in mind that it is a guiding tool that allows us to accompany and address difficulties from a human perspective, avoiding labeling and prioritizing the emotional history.

CARE PROCESSES
In the case of minors, the initial session is with the parents, an important session to gather the child’s history. Subsequently, three to four diagnostic sessions are conducted, depending on the child’s pace in expressing their distress. Finally, a feedback session is held with the parents to discuss impressions and recommendations, at which point the assessment of the child is either completed or the therapeutic process begins.
In the case of adults, one to three sessions are conducted to explore the discomfort, and together the follow-up of the same is determined through the therapeutic process.
Initially, a full or shared parent-child session is held to understand the child’s history and difficulties. This is followed by two to four initial assessment sessions, taking into account school reports and any diagnoses provided by other professionals.
Finally, a feedback session is held with the parents to discuss impressions and make any necessary recommendations, which may be aimed at:
– To set out the intervention objectives and begin psychoeducational and/or re-education treatment when the difficulties are evident and validated by reports or tests.
– Conduct specific assessment tests to determine the child’s difficulties and abilities to achieve the objectives to be worked on, taking into account that in some cases it may be possible that psychotherapeutic care should be provided before or in parallel, according to the results.
Initially, a parent session is held, which is important for gathering the child’s history and determining, based on developmental and symptomatic criteria, the objectives to be addressed, primarily in relation to their academic progress. Subsequently, intervention begins, implementing techniques dynamically and with periodic adjustments. After several sessions, depending on the child’s pace, sessions are held with the parents to discuss their impressions and provide recommendations for continuing the intervention process.
A parent session is held to learn about the child’s history, followed by the required tests according to the symptoms, and finally a feedback session is held with the parents to explain the results and recommendations, in addition to the formal delivery of the final report signed and sealed by the center’s professionals.
